|Indiana Tax Credit|
Charitable contributions to Indiana University School of Medicine - Fort Wayne (IUSM-FW) on the campus of the Indiana University-Purdue University-Fort Wayne (IPFW) are eligible for the Indiana gross income tax credit. This credit is 50% of the contribution up to a maximum tax credit of $100 ($200 on a joint return) for individuals or $1,000 for corporations. The contribution is also deductible on your federal return.
Did you know that a $400 gift to the IUSM-FW can cost you less than $100 when the tax benefits are considered? A couple will receive a $200 tax credit on their Indiana income taxes and as much as $150 effective tax deduction on their federal taxes. Corporate contributions yield a tax benefit of approximately $1,680 on a $2,000 gift. These figures are estimates and will vary depending on your tax bracket. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your particular situation.
Contributions are administered through Indiana University Foundation, and must specifically designate IUSM-FW. If you are interested in receiving more information, please contact Gina Bailey, development coordinator, at:
